He was confused with the news circulating around him that Santa Claus was a myth and scientifically it was not possible for Santa to deliver the gifts. He was wondering whether his faith in Santa was dwindling, more so after the news of fake Santas.

At this time a loud noise and bright light enters his room. He goes outside to find a huge train standing there and the conductor tells him that it is The Polar Express and its destination was the North Pole. The conductor tells him that Santa knows about his diminishing faith and this was the most crucial year in his life because he might believe in Santa for the final year if he missed the train. Hesitantly, the boy boards the train.

On the train he meets two more children called Hero Girl and Know-it-all. When the conductor comes to punch his ticket he is amazed to find a golden ticket in his left pocket and the train moves on. Then The Polar Express stops at the poor section of the town and there another hesitant boy, the Lonely Boy boards the train with the help of Hero Boy when he almost loses his chance to board the train.

The Polar Express then moves on through many adventures involving caribous, mechanical failures, a steep downhill dive, and broken lake surfaces. They arrive at the Arctic Circle and see the Aurora Borealis and reach North Pole with only five minutes to spare but accidentally get lost in the city. After some more misadventures the children end up in the huge bag of presents. When the time for Santa to appear nears and the reindeers are being decorated Hero Boy fails to hear the bells. He realises that only believing in Santa and Christmas can make him hear the bell ring. He says, I believe and hears the silver bell that fell from the reindeer ring. Santa lets him choose the first present and he chooses the bell. Wikipedia

The film Stealing Harvard is a crime film with adequate comic sequences which makes the movie humorous as well. The film revolves around the character of John Plummer (Jason Lee). John and Duff are best of friends but in nature are very different from each other. While John is a nice and hard-working guy, Duff is an under-achiever and a bad influence. John is in long time relationship with his girlfriend, Elaine. They both decide to marry only when they have saved $30,000 for their dream House.

In the film, Stealing Harvard, John and Elaine finally manage to save money after years of struggle. Their dream of owning a house is shattered when Johns sister brings unbelievable news. Running With Scissors Golden Globe Award Nominee

Golden Globe Award nominated film, Running with Scissors was released in the year 2006. The film was directed by Ryan Murphy. The movie is based on a similarly titled book, which is semi-autobiography of the author, Augusten Burroughs. The film won the Satellite Award for Best Actor and was nominated at the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an actress. The film stars Joseph Cross, Annette Bening, Brian Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more.

Running with Scissors is about a teenage boy, Augusten Burroughs (Joseph Cross). The child has an alcoholic father and an unstable mother, who thinks herself as a very talented poet on the verge of fame. She gives away her child to her unorthodox psychiatrist, Dr. Finch. He is an eccentric man with eccentric family, which includes his tightly wounded daughter (Gwyneth Paltrow).

The film Running with Scissors is based, when the child Augusten is 12 years of age. He finds himself living in a Victorian Squalor with the Doctors bizarre family. The atmosphere in the house is totally crazy without any rules. The Christmas tree is kept up all the year round. The housemates consume as though they are candy and use electro-shock therapy machine for treatment and entertainment.

In the film, Running with Scissors, Augusten finds a kind spirit in Finchs youngest daughter Natalie and finds motherly support from Finchs long suffering wife. Augusten regularly records the events of his life in his journals as a means of coping with his unusual childhood. He finds ways of avoiding school and starts taking big decisions at a tender age of 15.

Running with Scissors takes an unusual turn, when Augustens mothers mental illness worsens. He befriends Finchs 33 year old adopted son, Neil Bookman. He introduces Augusten into the world of love and they start an open and consensual sexual relationship. The film ends with Bookman hovering over a sleeping Finch, with a pair of scissors in his hands.

The film Running with Scissors diverges from the book on which it is based on several important points. In the book the prime character progresses through adolescence but the films character ages only 12 to 15. The film also shies away from the numerous sexual aspects on the book.

The film Running with Scissors is based on personal memoirs of Augusten Burroughs. It is wickedly funny, brave and moving tale of surviving a most unusual childhood. The film was partly produced by Brad Pitt, who was once engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow. This film also reunited her with Joseph Fiennes, who was her co-star in the Oscar winning film Shakespeare in Love. Kicking and Screaming Jesse Dylan Directed Comedy

It was the first film based on the Peanuts comic strip and Peter Robbins who voiced all the Peanuts television specials roles, used his voice for the character Charlie Brown, for the last time. It revolves around Charlie Brown and other Peanuts characters competing in a spelling bee.

A Boy Named Charlie Brown is the story of Charlie Brown and other Peanuts characters, where the hero enters a class spelling bee. None of his friends believe that he can actually win it barring his faithful friend Linus. He springs a huge surprise for all of them by winning it as well as the school spelling bee, along with qualifying for the nationals in New York City. Linus had given his blanket to Charlie as a good luck charm but Charlie forgot about it and thought he left it at the library.

Charlie Brown in the film A Boy named Charlie Brown is not a successful boy who loses in baseball, cant fly a kite and everybody taunts him. So, he participated in the spelling contest and finally goes to New York City to take part in the televised national spelling bee. But, at the last moment he misspells the word Beagle and is eliminated. So he becomes very upset and returns home. However, Linus his ever-faithful friend supports him and tells him that it is not the end of the world and encourages him.

The plot of the movie A Boy named Charlie Brown also included a number of minor vignettes and subplots, in addition to the main story about the hero and the spelling bee. Some of these included Lucys continued attempts to get Schroeders attention, Charlies Baseball team and Snoopys ice skating. The Kite-Eating Tree, Charlies old nemesis, also features in the movie. A few appearances of Peppermint Patty are also included in the film.

Several original songs some of which included vocals for the first time, like Failure Face, I before E except after C and Champion Charlie Brown, were also included in A Boy named Charlie Brown. The title song was written and sang by Rod McKuen. However, the instrumental tracks that were used in other Peanuts specials also featured throughout the film. Untempo Jazz Tunes were basically included in the music.

A Boy named Charlie Brown was partly based on a series of Peanut comic strips which were published in 1966, in newspapers and had a different ending. He misspelt the word maze in his class spelling bee itself and was eliminated there only. On March 28, 2006 the film made its Region 1 DVD debut. It has some additional footage of about 5 minutes that was not shown in the 1969 movie. It was also nominated for an Oscar Award. Wikipedia

Dancing Queen Greatest Musical Hit

Dancing Queen is one of the most popular hits by any global Music Group ever. Swedish group ABBA has recorded this song and it is considered to be their signature song. Benny Anderson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson penned this song together. In 1975, it was recorded in ABBAs brand new album, Arrival, released way back in 1976.

Dancing Queen has been considered as one of the biggest examples from the disco genre and it is not known to have any common key characteristics of disco music. Agnetha Faltskog along with Anni-Frid Lyngstad sang backup for it. Glissando and hummed vocals is its opening keyboard and it is one of the most specialized section of 1970s pop music.

Dancing Queen is based on a girl of 17 years who is having a good time of Friday night. The social and political pressure has not disheartened this teenager on dancing floor. She always desired to dance without bothering the designation of her dance partner and the song is relatively simple.

On 4th August 1975, the recording of Dancing Queen took a start. The demo was recognized as Boogalooand while the session started Benny, Bjorn and their band was inspired to the dance rhythm in the number Rock Your Baby. Between 8th and 11th September, Agnetha and Anni Frid recorded the vocal. In December 1975, the track was completed.

Godfather III Last Sequel To Classic Mafia Saga

Produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Godfather III was released on December 25, 1990. It is the third and final film in the Godfather trilogy written by Mario Puzo, Vincent Patrick, and Francis Ford Coppola.

The movie Godfather III was made in English as well as in Italian with a budget of $54 million. It is the story of Michael Corleone, a Mafia godfather who tries to legitimize his criminal empire. The storyline weaves into its plot a fictionalized account of real-life events – the mysterious 1978 death of Pope John Paul I and the Papal banking scandal of 1981-1982.

The story of Godfather III begins in 1979, with a flashback of the criminal history of the Corleone family. Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), now much older, feels guilty for indulging in his ruthless ambition many years ago. His previous criminal activities have made him a very rich man but the thoughts of his children, their future, happiness and his legacy are the only things on his mind. His children are with his estranged wife.

He has returned to New York City and has decided to use his enormous wealth and power to restore his dignity and reputation in the eyes of the public. Michael is able to rebuild the Corleone family as a legitimate enterprise using the money from his gangster years. In an attempt to break from the past, he creates a charity, the Vito Corleone Foundation, in memory of his father. Godfather III takes the audience through the journey of Michaels effort in establishing himself as a respectable citizen.

Furthermore, in the movie Godfather III, we find that in an attempt to earn respectability and wealth for the Corleone family through legitimate enterprise, Michael seeks to buy the Vaticans shares in Immobiliare, an international real estate holding company, of which the Vatican controls 25%. He negotiates the transfer of $600,000,000 to the Vatican Bank with Archbishop Gilday, who has plunged the Holy See into heavy debt through his poor management and corrupt dealings. However, due to the failing health of Pope Paul VI, approval of the deal is far more complicated than he had anticipated.

Many are interested in the Immobiliare deal. Michael meets Cardinal Lamberto and confesses his sins. When Cardinal Lamberto is elected Pope John Paul I, Michael is exhilarated and is sure to clinch the deal. This would put an end to the plot against the approval of the deal. Vincent, illegitimate son of Michaels dead brother Sonny, tells Michael that Lucchesi is behind the plot against the deal and a master assassin, Mosca da Montelepre, has been hired by Altobello, New York mafia chief, to kill Michael. In spite of Michaels caution, Vincent insists on revenge. Michael makes Vincent the head of the Corleone family and Godfather III is born.

Vincents revenge takes shape and the final scene of Godfather III is filled with brutal murders of the enemies of the Corleone family. The scenes are interspersed with that of Anthonys (Michaels son) performance at the opera house, Teatro Massimo. Mosca enters the opera house and shoots at Michael who is hit in the shoulder while Mary, Michaels daughter, is hit in the chest. Michael is plunged in grief as Mary succumbs. The film ends showing an aged and broken Michael seated in the front yard of his Sicilian villa, where he slumps out of his chair and dies, totally alone.

Although nominated for Academy Awards, Godfather III is the only picture in the Godfather trilogy, which failed to win the Academy Award for the Best Picture.Wikipedia

I Think I Love You Lyrics Partridge Family Song

Dear friends here are the I Think I Love You lyrics for you. The first stanza goes as follows…. I'm sleeping…And right in the middle of a good dream…like all at once I wake up…From something that keeps knocking at my brain…Before I go insane…I hold my pillow to my head…And spring up in my bed…Screaming out the words I dread: I think I love you! (I think I love you).

The next stanza of the I Think I Love You lyrics goes as follows… This morning, I woke up with this feeling…I didn't know how to deal with…. And so I just decided to myself…I'd hide it to myself…And never talk about it…And didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room…I think I love you! (I think I love you).

The third stanza of I Think I Love you lyrics have the following words… I think I love you…So what am I so afraid of….I'm afraid that I'm not sure of…A love there is no cure for…I think I love you…Isn't that what life is made of…Though it worries me to say…I've never felt this way.
The fourth and last stanza of the I Think I Love you lyrics are written this way…
Believe me…You really don't have to worry…I only want to make you happy…And if you say,…hey, go away, I will…But I think better still…I ought to stay around and love you…Do you think I have a case?…Let me ask you to your face: Do you think you love me?…I think I love you!

The song I Think I Love you lyrics is a 1970 single, Partridge Family creation. This song featured David Cassidy. The song and the network television show The Partridge Family was released simultaneously. Incidentally, the Partridge Family sitcom happens to be the debut sitcom of network television.

In the first season of the show this song was featured twice while it got higher up on the Billboard charts, in the month of November that year. David Cassidy and Shirley Jones were only members of the show who took part in the song recording. The song I Think I Love you lyrics was recorded on the 25th of November 1970, by Perry Como, using Nick Peritos orchestra, at the Las Vegas hotel, International Hotel, in Nevada.

RCA Victor Records released the song in an album titled Its Impossible with catalog number LSP-4473, in the month of December 1970. It was reissued in 1975, with a catalog number AYLI-3804. Green Acres Theme Song Of Substance

The Green Acres theme song belongs to the American Television series the Green Acres produced by FilmWays, Inc. The show was originally broadcast on CBS in between the 15th of September of 1965 to the 27th of April of 1971.

The Green Acres series, in which the Green Acres theme song is shown is basically about the dream of a well achieved and very learned lawyer, Oliver Wendell Douglas(played by Eddie Albert), to live in the countryside and be a farmer. His wife played by Eva Gabor as Lisa Douglas, is very glamorous and likes the sophisticated city life. She is reluctantly forced to shift to the countryside with her husband and lead a rural life in a dilapidated farm.

The lyrics of the Green Acres theme song goes as follows…Green acres is the place for me…Farm livin' is the life for me…Land spreadin' out so far and wide…Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside…New York is where I'd rather stay. I get allergic smelling hay…I just adore a penthouse view…Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue....The chores…...The stores…....Fresh air…Times Square…You are my wife…Good bye, city life. ..Green Acres we are there.

In the Green Acres theme song, the husband sings about how wonderful a farm life can be. He sings that the Green Acres farm is the right place for him and farm living should be his way of life. He loves the vast and open countryside and says that he prefers the countryside to Manhattan.

To that, in the Green Acres theme song, his wife sings that she would love staying back at New York rather than the countryside. She finds the smell of hay very allergic and she really admires a pent-house view. She sings that she loves her husband very much but she is finding a countryside life a big sacrifice, for her love. She craves for Park Avenue and sings that she misses the chores that she used to do and the stores that she used to frequent, the fresh air, and Times Square very much.

In the Green Acres theme song, the husband does not heed his wifes cravings and tells her that as she is his wife she should listen to him against her wish and follow his wishes. Then again he goes back into his adulation of the glory of the Green Acres.

The Green acres theme song implicates patriotism. An erudite and virtuous person tries to make sense of the materialistic madness that has caught over the urban population. He finds a close-to-nature life in the rural areas more peaceful and meaningful than the chaotic urban life. His wife on the other hand is just like any person loving the comforts of a materialistic city life. Well friends, dont you see a bit of both of them in us? And isnt their story a part of the story of every household??? Wikipedia

The song proved to be a great success factor for Glen Miller, but it was later forgotten, till blues singer Etta James revived the song by her stupendous rendition of the song, which won her a position in the Grammy Hall of fame in 1999.

The song of the At Last Etta James lyrics gave her such a lot of success, that it became a sort of her signature. It was the third song in a selection of three songs from her Chess records album At Last. That is her debut album. On its release this song became Ettas second R & B hit in the number two position... It was aired on pop radio, and reached the forty-seventh position on the Billboard Hot 100. It has a low pop chart rating, but it is still popular and played as one of the oldies on radio.

The song with the At Last Etta James lyrics was a hot romantic favorite with a number of artists. The soothing lyrics of the number, remind one of the purity of love in the olden times. Even though, a number of past and present day artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Miles Davis, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder and Cyndi Lauper among others have sung this song, apart form Etta James, the Etta James version of the song is by far the greatest favorite. The song is sung at weddings and wedding receptions, because of its romantic numbers and appealing orchestration. Wikipedia

Piccolo Small Flute

Piccolo is a small flute. It is sometime also knows as piccolo. Its name in Italian is flauto piccolo which also mean a small flute. The piccolo is often made up of silver or wood, it is mare or less like a flute, but only thing is that is much smaller in comparison. There is also a pitch difference between the flute and the Piccolo. The Piccolo has a higher pitch than that of a flute.

The music for the Piccolo is written on one octave lower than the concert pitch. The music sound is an octave higher than the flute as it is half the size of the flute. The fingering on the piccolo is similar to that of the flute. There are other alternate fingerings which may also be used to tune the individual pitches, as many are consistently out of tune.

Piccolo like any other flute is more often pitched in the key of C, one octave above the concert flute which makes it like a sopranino flute. There is also a standard C Piccolo, there is also a Piccolo pitched in Db this is often used in the bands. There is another key A-flat which is quite rarely used outside the Italian marching bands. It is played from D5 to B7-flat.

The Piccolo which is a transverse flute was development in the late 18th century. It is about 33 cm long and its range is nearly three octaves, which reaches the highest pitch in the modern orchestra. It is horizontally played and is a small transverse flute of conical or cylindrical bore, fitted with Boehm-system key work. Its sound is quite bright which makes it easily heard, even in thickly scored orchestral passages.

The Piccolo is the highest pitched woodwind instrument of orchestras and military bands. There are different sources of sound as three branches of the woodwind family are used. There are a lot of similarities though a lot of difference between flute and Piccolo. It is the high pitch, the use of silver and the size which makes the flute and Piccolo quite different from each other.

In Piccolo the vibrations is started when the sir is blown across the top of the instrument, across a single reed, or across two reeds. There are reeds are very small pieces of cane. When air is blown between the reed and the mouthpiece it creates a vibration against the mouthpiece. A single reed is clamped to a mouthpiece at the top of the instrument. When two reeds are tied up together it is known as double reed. Dsokids

Inherit The Wind Exposes Dangers Of Blind Faith

Inherit the Wind is a 1960 Hollywood film based on a play of the same name by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee. Both the play and the film present fictionalized accounts of the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial which resulted in John T. Scopes conviction for teaching Charles Darwin theory of evolution to a high school science class. This was against the Tennessee state law which prohibited the teaching of anything besides creationism.

The central plot of Inherit the Wind revolves around the imprisonment and trail of Bertram Cates who is modeled after John Scopes. Cates is arrested and thrown into jail after he teaches Darwins theory of evolution in a high school biology class. His colleague Rachel comes to meet him in the jail and asks him to admit that he was wrong but Cates refuses. The counsel for prosecution is led by Matthew Harrison Brady for whom the town throws a celebration. The counsel for the defense is represented by Henry Drummond, an agnostic.

The later part of Inherit the Wind is taken up with the presentation of the trial proceedings in which two oratorical giants of the era battle it out. The film differs from the play in toning down the unidimensionality of the characters. In the movie version, Cates eventually leaves the town of Hillsboro. The film, in fact, incorporates more of the actual trial proceedings as for instance, when Clarence Darrow is cited for contempt of court.

In another sequence of the film version, the town mob harasses Cates in his cell and even threatens Drummond in his hotel. After a conversation with Hornbeck that same night, Drummond gets a brainwave of calling Brady as a witness in order to expose the contradictions from a too-literal interpretation of the Bible. Inherit the Wind was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and received a host of other nominations from the Academy Awards and the Bafta Awards.

The main cast of the film version of Inherit the Wind included Spenser Tracy as Drummond, Fredric March as Brady, Gene Kelly as Hornbeck, Dick York as Cates and Donna Anderson as Rachel Brown. For his portrayal of Brady, March received the Silver Bear Award for the Best Actor in the Berlin Film Festival. The film was adapted by Nedrick Young and Harold Jacob Smith and was directed by Stanley Kramer.

The Broadway version of play opened in 1955 and was again revived in 1996. In March 2007, the play was produced in a limited Broadway engagement and went on to receive four Tony Award nominations. Despite several similarities between the historical Scopes trial and the play/film, Inherit the Wind is not intended as a documentary drama but a warning against the dangers of McCarthyism as evident by the dangers posed to intellectual freedom, by the anti-communist hysteria. Nimrod Nation Brett Morgen Directed Documentary Film

Nimrod Nation is an eight-part documentary series. This was planned and conceived by Oscar-nominated director Brett Morgen. The executive producers for this documentary were Morgen, Adam Pincus, and Kevin Proudfoot. It is supposed to make its debuts on Sundance Channel in fall 2007.

Nimrod Nation is based on the remote as well as sleepy town of Watersmeet on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, this place has a life of its own and that revolves around the basketball. In fact, in this place, life during the long winter months revolves around two things: hunting and its high school basketball team. That seems to be the life of not only the kids of the place but for the adults as well.

Nimrod Nation is based on a place that is so far north, in the Upper Peninsula town of Watersmeet, Michigan. In this place, you have a feeling that the place does not belong to the real world or the American life which is usually filled with activities. In fact, in the town of Watersmeet, Mich., you half-expect the place to be lit with the Northern Lights.

Nimrod Nation that can be another name for Watersmeet, is a quiet and a peculiar town. It is a kind of place where the morning host on the radio says a warm front has moved in because the temperature is going above zero. In this town, the young people pass their free time by driving along the outskirts and firing guns. On the other hand, the seniors gather at the coffee shop every evening to retell stories of the Watersmeet Nimrods basketball team and its performance ion the previous years.

The place can indeed be called the Nimrod Nation as the basketball team or Nimrod is the glue to the place. This is similar to the instance of fictional Dillon, Tex where football is the glue. All the people here thrive on the game of basketball and the towns basketball team. Even their performance is a major issue that controls their life. Almost every discussion thats held in the town involves around this game and so the game for sure is the adhesive that binds the people of this town together.

The Nimrod Nation is captured by director Brett Morgen. In his documentary, he makes the team his touchstone for the other dramas of rural life. The dramas that he captures consist of crucial issues like the unspoken tension between whites and Native Americans. The documentary has some rough language and some rough scenes, but in general, it is about the larger drama of the town. Nydailynews

Turkey Trot Controversial Form Of Dance

Turkey trot was a very dance belonging to the early 1900s. It was performed on the fast ragtime type of music which was prevalent in the years of 1900s to 1910s. One such example of this kind of music is the Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin. However in the years after 1914, it faced serious competition from another form called the Foxtrot.

Turkey trot is performed in a fixed style by hopping four steps sideways with the feet kept well apart. It is done first with the help of one leg and then the other with a stunning rise on the ball of the foot which is preceded by dropping upon the heel. It is a form of dance which consists of flicks of the feet resembling that of a scissor and speedy trotting moves with stops that are often very sudden.

The dancers like John Jarrott and Louise Gruenning are considered to be the people responsible for making the Turkey trot extremely popular among the people. The other person who is also believed to have contributed to the popularity of this dance form was Grizzly Bear, who introduced it in the Ray Jones Cafй in Chicago, IL. This was around the year 1909. It further gathered fame through the efforts of Irene and Vernon Castle who did the Turkey Trot in the Broadway show called The Sunshine Girl.

Turkey trot later on gained a lot of publicity because of the Vatican Church who opposed this form of dance and found it to be devoid of any moral values and principles. They held the opinion that the postures of the dancers during the performance were objectionable. They were not acceptable and against the level of decency that should always be maintained. As a result many orthodox members of the society did put a stop to it, at publicly organized dances and ceremonies. This only helped it to gain all the more importance.

The dancers who were found doing the Turkey trot were punished by the law in terms of a fine being charged on them for misconduct reported by the news reports. Among many other examples there is the instance of fifteen working girls who were thrown out of their jobs accompanied with the song publisher namely Curtis Publishing of Philadelphia as the were found dancing. The fact that it was merely done during lunch break and hence was not that relevant was not considered at all.

Another means of combating the Turkey trot was a song that was released in 1913 called as the Anti-Ragtime Girl which stated …She dont do the Bunny Hug, nor dance the Grizzly Bear/ She hasn't learned the Turkey Trot /.. Wikipedia

Prancer Film By John D. Handrock

The film Prancer was released on 17th November, 1989 in USA. It is a drama movie directed by John D. Handrock and written by Greg Taylor. It is a sweet, sincere, heartwarming movie. Rather, it is one of the best Christmas movies ever made. The film was shot in LaPorte, Indiana, USA with a run time of 103 minutes.

The main character of the film Prancer is Jessica Riggs and her father John Riggs were played by Rebecca Harrell and Sam Elliott. Santas character was played by Michael Constantine. The film was nominated for Best Young Actress Starring in a motion picture and Best Young Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category in 1990.

The tagline for the film Prancer is that when every one lost the true spirit of Christmas, they found it locked in the heart of one little girl. The little 9 years old girl named Jessica is the daughter of a poor apple farmer who still believes in Santa Claus. In addition, when she gets an injury in her leg she comes across a reindeer and it makes perfect sense to assume that it is Prancer, who had fallen from a Christmas display in town. She hides the reindeer in her barn and feeds the reindeer cookies, until she returns it back to Santa.

According to Cement Clark Moores poem, Prancer is one of Santa Claus eight tiny deer. Despite the remonstration of her parents and taunts of peers, Jessica still believes in Santa and is determined to give the reindeer back to him. Jessicas father wants to sell it to the butcher for an advertising display. Later on when John, her father comes across the wounded reindeer, he feels that it is his duty to take care of the animal and take it out from the misery. The deer vanishes before Elliots eyes magically.

Jessica nurses the deer, of course, Prancer, with the help of vet Orel Benton (as Abe Vigoda) and her older brother Steve Riggs (as John Joseph Duda). Though she was determined to hand over the deer to Santa, yet all her efforts only resulted in public humiliation for her father.

Prancer is a Christmas film and contains a good will throughout the film. It is not a classic, but it is definitely a perfect midwinter entertainment. However, it has some mistakes but it is a complete entertaining film for 8s to 80s.

Prancer is remade and released on 20 November 2001 as Prancer Returns. This time, it is directed by Joshua Butler, based on the same old story written by Greg Taylor. It has won seven prizes and five nominations. This time a little boy finds a reindeer, instead of a girl in the former. Moreover, the reindeer is the son of the former reindeer. Imdb

Battleship Galactica: Razor is the prequel of the main series and answers many questions that have baffled the avid watchers of BSG. It will tell more about some characters and show some events that were reported earlier. Telling the story of Pegasus the sister ship of Galactica, it sometime runs parallel to the main story and flashbacks as well as linked characters are used to link the two.

The story of Battlestar Galactic: Razor will be lost to many viewers who are seeing the series for the first time because there are references to character and incident which the fans of the series should know. Still any new viewers tuning into this television film can get some help as the whole crew of Galactica makes occasional appearance in the film. The producers says the time period of the series is somewhere from the season three of Battlestar Galactica and the results of the actions taking place in this film is reflected in the season four.

The main thrust of the story in Battlestar Galactica: Razor is on the character of Admiral Helena Cain played by Michelle Forbes whose character and story line got quite a popular from the season three of the main series. The viewers will learn much about her character like how she watched her family members die due to the attack of the Cylons and her hatred for the Cylon prisoner Gina.

The story of Battlestar Galactica: Razor is much more brutal and hard than that of Galactica as survival is the first and foremost though on the minds of members of Pegasus. That is why there are scenes like Cain ordering shooting of civilians to frighten them to comply with her orders. Plus there is the scene of shooting of Cains XO Colonel Jurgen Belzen as was reported by another character before.

Many popular characters of BSG are missing from Battlestar Galactica: Razor like Starbuck or Gauis Balter but compensated by the character of Kendra Shaw played by Jamie Bamber. She is much like Starbuck and goes one step ahead of the latter and is ready even to sacrifice her own life to get the job done. She perfectly fits the tradition of the producers to show strong women characters in the series. Wikipedia
