Die Another Day
Die Another Day is the last bond film that Pierce Brosnan had done after which the bond franchise was handed over to Daniel Craig. The world famous Bond series was first started with the film Dr No starring Sean Connery in the year 1962. Brosnan Golden Eye with which he started his Bond career in 1995 was considered to be the biggest grossing bond film at that date
Die Another Day is yet another riveting movie where bond is sent to kill a rogue Korean General but is betrayed by a mole and is arrested by the authorities. A little different from a traditional Bond film Die Another Day initially portrays Bond being captured by North Korean authorities and brutally tortured for a period of several months. After being released from prison in a prisoner exchange Bond is taken in by the M16 organization. He is brought back to health by the authorities only to be released from all official duties since he is accused of passing of information which had resulted in the death of several agents while they were in prison. Released from his Double-O status Bond hunts for his betrayer on his own. He goes after the terrorist Zhao and in the meantime meets a beautiful diver Jinx played by Halle Berry. His search leads him to a billionaire business Gustav Graves. This British tycoon is famed to have created a technology which can beam solar light and heat to any part of the world. However on discovering certain genetic conversion equipment and a laser canon that has the potential of a large amount of destruction Bond realizes the danger. It is finally revealed that Gustav Graves is actually Colonel Moon who had altered himself genetically after Bond’s attempt to kill him.
The film was received very well by the audience. It was considered to be the most successful according to Box office records till the release of Casino Royale. This was the twentieth film of the franchise and Bronson’s forth outing playing the stylish and aggressive super agent. Released in the year 2002 the movies were produced by the acclaimed Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. The film contained a number of references to several other Bond films and to Fleming novels. For instance the North Korean villain Colonel Moon shares his name with Colonel Sun the villain of Kingsley Amis’ bond novel. Several other features have also been incorporated from the novel Moonraker . Even Jinx’s first appearance in an orange Bikini is homage to Honey Rider emerging from the sea in a white bikini in the movie Dr No . The films title song was created by superstar Madonna who also has a bit part in the film as a leather clad fencing instructor in the movie. Wikipedia

Happy Feet
Happy Feet is a computer-animated, comedy-drama film directed by Babe mastermind George Miller. This Academy Award-nominated, Golden Globe-winning children’s film hit the theaters in the United States on November 17, 2006. Produced at the Sydney-based visual effects and animation studio Animal Logic for Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures, it is the first animated feature film produced by Kennedy Miller in association with Animal Logic
Though primarily an animated film, Happy Feet does incorporate live action humans in certain scenes. The film is dedicated to Steve Irwin, who died a month after recording his role for the film, and Nick Enright, the late playwright who penned Lorenzo's Oil. Hugely appreciated by audience of all age groups, Happy Feet tells the tale of one penguin’s quest for love. The film has a running time of 109 minutes, and features an all-star cast of vocal talent that includes Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman, Elijah Wood, Nicole Kidman, and Brittany Murphy. The film was simultaneously released in both conventional theatres and in IMAX 2D format. The studio has hinted that a future IMAX 3D release was still a possibility. The main characters of the film are Mumble, Gloria, Ramon, Memphis, Norma Jean, Noah the Elder, and Lovelace. Happy Feet shapes up in a world of penguins, and revolves around Mumble, the protagonist of the film. Set deep inside the icy land of Antarctica, two emperor penguins have a baby named Mumble. In the cold land of Antarctica, the Emperor Penguins each express their true love with a special heartsong of their own that expresses their very being. However, the misfit Mumble cannot sing, but instead has an extraordinary talent to tap dance with almost magical energy and expression. But, penguins are not supposed to tap dance. Torn apart from his mom, dad and best friend as a teenager, Mumble ventures off into the icy landscape. A group of Adelie penguins, headed by Ramon, rescues him from a leopard seal, and take him to their home.
Happy Feet continues to keep the audience spell bound, and brings and interesting turn to the story when the deeply traditional leader of the Adelie colony discovers that their fishing is being taken by an alien source, and puts the blame on young Mumble’s unorthodox ways. Defiant in the face of unjust rejection, Mumble and his true friends set out to discover the threat of their food source and survival. Through his adventurous endeavor, he learns many things about his icy world and shows that his uniqueness of foot tapping is not a burden, but a treasure, by which he can save his people. With some fancy footwork, he is also able to make way into the heart of the one he loves. Thus, this film proves to be a true entertainer, and also provides a lesson to the audience. All in all, Happy Feet is sure worth a watch! Wikipedia

Ice Age
Ice Age is a feature-length computer-animated film created by Blue Sky Studios and released by 20th Century Fox in 2002. This plot of this film was adopted from a story by Michael J. Wilson, and directed into a movie by Carlos Saldanha and Chris Wedge. This film, made on a hefty budget of $60,000,000, was a huge success at the box office, and garnered phenomenal profits. With a running time of 81 minutes, this film appealed to audiences of all age groups
The sequel to this film was called “Ice Age: The Meltdown”, which hit the theaters in 2006. This film is a beautiful narration of how a team of prehistoric animals band together to save a human infant in freezing temperatures. This digitally animated feature from Oscar-winning director Chris Wedge is a visual treat, far different from the earlier computer generated imagery efforts. The use of unique lighting software, known as “Ray Tracing“, a distinct style of the director, is what sets the movie apart from its contemporaries, and makes it a viewer’s delight. Ice Age starred Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary. The film also features the voices of Jack Black, Jane Krakowski, and Goran Visnjic. The main characters of the film are Manfred aka Manny, Sid, Diego, Soto, Zeke, Oscar, Lenny, Scrat, Carl, Frank, and two female ground sloth. Ice Age is a film that revolves around the Ice Age, when a lost human infant is discovered by some prehistoric animals. The plot is set at the time when glaciers and freezing temperatures overran the Earth. The characters of this film are all animals, with the exception of some early humans. These humans bear some Neanderthal-like facial features, and are not shown conversing, but only grunting or yelling. The animals can talk to and understand each other and are voiced by a variety of famous actors. What can also be noted is that, like many films of prehistoric life, the rules of time periods apply very loosely, as many of the species shown in the film never actually lived in the same areas, let alone the same time periods.
Ice Age shows the Earth entering into the Ice Age 20,000 years ago, and the animals are scurrying to save themselves from the upcoming sub-zero temperature. In the turn of events, Sid, a sloth who never stops talking, a woolly mammoth named Manny, a saber-toothed tiger named Diego, and an acorn-loving saber-toothed squirrel named Scrat are forced to become unlikely heroes. The four reluctantly come together when they have to return a human child to its father while braving the deadly elements of the impending Ice Age. The film is a true entertainer, and keeps audiences spellbound till the very last minute, and even after it gets over, it does manage to leave an indelible impact on the minds of those who have witnessed the 81 minutes of this piece of visual treat. Daystrom
Dr. Richard Daystrom comes as a fictional character, from the series Star Trek universe. Besides Daystrom also appeared in the Star Trek original series episodes, “The Ultimate Computer”, that was chiefly portrayed by William Marshall. He is a well known computer Engineer of the twenty third century, who had worked on the Duotronic computer systems that were functional in the streets of all the Starfleet vessels
Among Daystrom’s newest technology, were the revolutionary multitronic M5 computer systems that could track the thinking process of a human brain. If the technology proved successful, it would be used to substitute the entire mortal crew of the Star fleet vessels.M5 was the fifth design that was implemented by Daystrom. The previous four designs that were proposed by him earlier did not do very well. But the M5 version was ready to go for trials and ultimately it could be made for some use. The capacity of the M5 version was made according to the pattern of Daystrom’s brain engrams. The ultimate M5 version was made from a copy from his own mind. But that M5 version also became very unpredictable. When the program was used in the replicated computer games, M5 launched very fatal attacks against the other Federation ships, as a result of which the M5 version of the computer system had to be shut down in the end. Another fact that we come to know about Richard Daystrom, is that the Daystrom Institute of technology was named after him.
In the sci-fi movie Star Trek, Dr. Richard Daystrom is rated as one of the most influential Human Scientists of the twenty third century. Daystrom is considered to be a scientific wonder and during his day, he was thought of having the same pedestal as that of such scientific geniuses Albert Einstein, Sitar and Kazanga. Daystrom was responsible for the achievement of the Duotronic invention, which lead him to win the Nobel Prize, as well as the Zee-Magnees awards. But it somehow occurred to him, that he was not duly acclaimed for his work and revolted against his peers. He alleged them of getting his work done on the lines that were mostly similar, to his line of thinking. He was left only with the small traces of his work that he has done, and left with what could be termed as the synopsis of his total work done. Now he fully concentrated on the working of the multitronic computer system and went on to create a device of artificial intelligence. The M5 computer now worked in order to deliver the starship. Later more war games were initiated along with the other war games that comprised a capacity of full strength attacks. Wikipedia
