Owned by Gray television, WSAZ is a television station based in Huntington, West Virginia. It is the NBC affiliate for the Huntington-Charleston market and covers 61 countries covering central West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southeastern Ohio. The station is also available on cable Parkersburg. The transmitter of the station is located in Ona, West Virginia and it is broadcasted on channel 3.
WSAZ-TV's programming can also be seen in the Kanawha Valley on translator W16CE (channel 16) in Charleston. The station is very popular for its unique split newscasts. Since 1956, WSAZ's newscasts have featured two anchors, one at the main studio in Huntington and the other in Charleston.
At 6:00 and 11:00 p.m., the two anchors appear together on screen until a certain point (usually 10-15 minutes into the newscast) when the newscast will split. Viewers in the 28 counties of the Kanawha Valley will then be able to watch a newscast targeted specifically to them, while viewers in the other 33 counties will see a newscast featuring news from Kentucky and Ohio as well as West Virginia. WSAZ calls this concept two-city news.
WSAZ-TV, which is the oldest television station in West Virginia, commenced broadcasting in 1949. The Huntington Herald-Dispatch along with WSAZ radio then owned it. It is the only commercial station that has never changed its primary affiliation and is NBCs longest continuously-affiliated station south of Washington, D.C.In 1961, The Herald-Dispatch sold WSAZ-AM-TV to the owner of WJR radio in Detroit and WJRT-TV in Flint, Michigan called Goodwill Stations. Goodwill merged with Capital Cities Communications in 1964. Capital Cities further sold WSAZ-TV in 1971 to Lee Enterprises. Emmis Communications bought the station in 2000 after Lee decided to quit broadcasting. Finally, in 2005, Emmis sold WSAZ to Gray Television.
In 1950, WSAZ-TV received permission from FCC to build a private microwave link to Cincinnati that would allow viewers to get NBC programming live.In 1952, the FCC made a change in channel alignment and WSAZ-TV was forced to move to channel 3 from channel 5. As part of the frequency switch, the FCC granted WSAZ a boost in broadcast power, which at the time was the highest ever authorized for a television station. The station was credited to have the tallest transmission tower in North America until WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina activated a taller tower in 1959.
Today, WSAZ is one of the countrys most popular television stations, thanks to its unique newscasts. It has always managed to maintain its top position although once in the late 1990s WOWK overtook WSAZ for first place in the northern (Charleston) side of the market. In September 2005, the station launched My Z TV on WSAZ-DT 3.2 and telecasts shows from My Network TV along with programs currently on WSAZ's main feed at different times, although it does feature some exclusive program. WYMT Were Your Mountain Television Channel
A CBS affiliate in Hazard, Kentucky, WYMT TV channel 57 serves mainly the far eastern part of the Lexington market and parts of neighboring Virginia and West Virginia. The channel is also telecast on the local cable television service in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Lexingtons CBS affiliate, WKYT-TV is considered to be its sister station. Gray Television is the owner of WYMT.
Some counties in southeastern Kentucky could not acquire a television signal over the air, before the commencement of the WYMT channel. All these areas of the county could not get the television signal, even when these were part of the Lexington market. Lexington faces problems in rugged terrain as it is an all-UHF market. As it was a poverty inflicted area, translators were not set up. This, in turn, barred families from buying television sets. Moreover, Bill Gorman a local businessman who served eight terms as mayor of Hazard founded WKYH, which began broadcasting on October 20, 1969 as an NBC affiliate.
Bluegrass, traditional country and Southern Gospel music, local church broadcasts and paid religious programming were telecast in the early years of the station, for the strong cultural and religious preferences of its audience. These programs slowly vanished in the late 1970s. Gorman sold the station in 1985 to Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company, owner of WKYT. The calls were changed by the new owner to WYMT, meaning, We're Your Mountain Television. To match its new sister station, it became a CBS affiliate.
Gray Communications bought WYMT and WKYT in the year 1993 when Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company went bankrupt. The channels visualized itself as community leader, through the operation of a commercial television station in the public interest, by informing and entertaining the viewers with high quality local news and entertainment programs while providing services to help advertisers achieve financial prosperity.
WYMT certifies itself as an individual station and is considered to a semi-satellite of WKYT. Sharing a common website and clearing some of WKYT's syndicated programming, sometimes the stations use the common brand of Kentucky Television. Aoart from WYMT, WLJC-TV and Kentucky Educational Television satellite WKHA are taken to be the only ones to receive over-the-air most of this area.
Sports Overtime is a twice a week sports program broadcast on WYMT on Friday nights and covers high school athletics. The program began airing on Saturdays in the fall of 2006. the show now focuses on local and state college athletics as well as the fan favorite package, The High School Fast Break, a recap of high profile high school games. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus Christmas Song Movie
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus is one of the most popular songs of Christmas time. It was originally recorded by Jimmy Boyd in 1952 and reached the top of the Billboard charts that year. In 2001, a film was released with the same title and based on the Christmas song.
The film, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus deals with the mistaken notions of a little boy Justin Carver and the hilarious sequences which follow. On Christmas Eve, Justin goes back to his bedroom after witnessing an intense quarrel between his parents Stephanie and David Carver. A few moments later, he peeks down and sees his Mom kissing Santa, who, unknown to Justin is actually his Dad.
Justin was afraid that his mother was having an affair with Santa as he was already occupied by the recent separation of his best friends parents. The film then follows Justin as he tries various ways to keep Santa from visiting his house. The resulting capers include setting traps and throwing snow balls at some other Santa. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus ends with everything being resolved satisfactorily and the real Santa gets one more year of fulfilling the wishes of kids.
The film has been acted by Dylan and Cole Sprouse as Justin. Other cast members of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus include Connie Selleca as Stephanie Carver, Corbin Bernsen as David Carver and Sonny Carl Davis as Santa/Floyd. The film was directed by John Shepphird and had the tagline, Christmas is coming and Santas a dirty rat.
The popular song I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus was first recorded in 1952 by Jimmy Boyd. Neiman Marcus commissioned the song in order to promote their Christmas card of the year which featured an original sketch by artist Perry Barlow. In the following years, the song was covered by many other artists and even became the subject of some parodied versions.
The song I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus ran into controversy some time after it was first released. It was banned by the Catholic Church of Boston which objected to the mixing of a sacred event as Christmas with physical human love. One of the most widely photographed events of the time showed Jimmy Boyd, aged only thirteen, meeting the Archdiocese to explain the meaning behind the song. Wikipedia

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is one of the biggest favorites of the Christmas season. The song has four stanzas and is based on the popular legend that Santa Claus brings gifts for those children who have been good all through the year. The song has proved to be a hit with children down the ages.
The song Santa Claus Is Coming To Town inspired an animated television musical in 1970 with the same title. The film was produced by Rankin-Bass and starred Fred Astaire as the narrator and Mickey Rooney as Kris Kringle/Santa Claus. The film tells the story behind the many legends surrounding Christmas and Santa Claus and how the traditions became popular.
The film includes two versions of the title song, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. One is an instrumental and the other is sung at the end of the film by Special Delivery Kluger with the Westminster Childrens Choir. The film is one of the three Christmas special films made by Rankin-Bass and the other two are Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Wikipedia

Ask A Ninja Award Winning Series Of Comedy Videos
Launched in November 2005, Ask A Ninja is an award winning series of comedy videos. These videos are based on the images of ninjas in popular culture. These videos are available in podcast and vodcast form and also in mov and wmv file formats. The role of the ninja in the videos is being played by one of the co-creators, Douglas Sarine.
The series Ask A Ninja was created by Los Angeles improvisational comedian Kent Nicholas and Douglas Sarine. The videos feature a ninja who answers various emails from the viewers. The shows creator was influenced by a similarly formatted show called Ask Zorbak and Strong Bad Email. The show was originally envisioned as an animated show about 2 ninjas residing in Orange County.
The show, Ask A Ninja is hilariously comic. Most of the episodes starting from1-16 feature ninja, answering in front of a featureless blue background. The show sometimes also takes place inside a car or any other house. A special episode of the show was shot in a warehouse with Jamie and Adams.
In the show, Ask A Ninja, only the eyes of the ninja are visible as rest of him is covered in traditional black ninja clothes. The ninja is very famous for his emphatic declarations and his extremely expansive, spontaneous and exaggerated hand gestures, which are quite helpful in communicating his comic intentions. The host very regularly uses many linguistic blends in his speech, which involve the word ninja like: ninjelephant; ninternship; ninjas etc.
In the show Ask A Ninja, special video editing is used regularly to lay emphasis on showing the host doing the same thing 3 times. The editing is also used to put focus on the ninjas mysterious powers like the ability to adopt impenetrable disguise and turning microscopically small or simply vanish. The new episodes of the show are being released bi-weekly. The episodes are normally of 4-7 minutes of duration and ends with a signature remark of the ninja, I look forward to killing you soon.
Ask A Ninjas older episodes ended with the advertisements of Ninja-Mart Store, which enabled the viewers to purchase any ninja merchandise related with the show. The show has also advertised The Simpsons Game and Doritos. The show has also begun hosting its videos with the Cast Fires video hosting service.
The popularity of the show, Ask A Ninja can be gauged from the fact that Douglas Sarine was once asked to report as a guest film critic on National Public Radios show called, All Things Considered. In a classified special delivery episode, his review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest was shown. He also interviewed, Blades of Glory, stars Will Fernell and Jon Heder. The show made its live stage debut at the El Rey Theatre on 5th December, 2007, with Patton Oswatt and Hardn Phirm. The creators of the show have also announced of an under production Ask A Ninja book, which will be released next year. Wikipedia

Bad Moon Lyrics Credence Clearwater Hit
A Credence Clearwater number called Bad Moon Rising is a song about the doom that comes when the world is engulfed in an all-ending storm. The lyrics of the song is written and sung by John Fogerty. This song has been a great hit in 1969. This song belongs to the Green River album. It attained and remained the topper of the UK singles chart for three weeks in September 1969, and at second position on the very reputed Billboard hot 100 singles list.
In the song Bad Moon Rising John Fogerty appraises people about the devastation that may take place due to the fury of nature, when the rising of the moon conveys bad happenings. He asks people if they are ready to die if such a thing happens. The last line of the song is worded as though there is a bathroom on the right. The correct lyrics word the last line as there is a bad moon on the rise. John Fogerty deliberately uses the bathroom wordings in a light-hearted manner in his live shows. Recently he used it in his album Premonition in the year 1998. The lyrics of the song create visuals of devastation and natures fury.
Bad Moon Rising has featured in many albums and performances. It was included in the An American Werewolf in London album and also on Sweet Home Alabama. The song was sung in the season three finale of Las Vegas in the first few minutes. The song also appeared on the season one finale of Supernatural. A cover version of this song was sung by Heart lead singer Ann Wilson for her album Hope and Glory with singer Gretchen Wilson, a country music singer, in the year 2007.
Bad Moon Rising was also a hot favorite with singers and performers like Type O Negative, Social Distortion, The Reels, Rolf Harris, Steel Train, Lagwagon, Rancid and Rasputina. Atco Records let out a reggae modification of Bad Moon Rising by Jah Milla in the year 1981. Homer Simpson sang the song in the tele-series The Simpsons, in the Mr. Sprtiz Goes To Washington episode, when he was asked to perform the CPR by Marge.
If you are on the lookout for a novel version of the Bad Moon Rising you can try it out in The Battlefield Bands album COMD2009 On The Rise, where an instrumental modification of the song by Fogerty is featured on the first half of the sixth track. This version is used in live performances as a surfing song by Outer Hebrides. The Battlefield Band follows a custom of ending their albums with any of the Clearwater Revivial Numbers.
The lyrics of the opening verse of the Bad Moon Rising is I see the bad moon arising…I see trouble on the way…I see earthquakes and lightnin…I see bad times today. Wikipedia

The Pierces Band Music
Based in New York, the Pierces are a music band, whose principal members are two sisters, Catherine Pierce and Allison Pierce who originally hail from Birmingham, Alabama. While they were in school, Allison often bit boys on their arms that left behind moon shaped marks and Catherine raised her body temperature at her own will and had to be sent home daily for the high fever. Consequently they had to be removed from their school. However, their education continued at home where they were taught by their painter mother and guitar-wielding father.
Both The Pierces founder grew up listening Joni Mitchell and Simon&Garfunkel and was always inspired to nurture their creativity. Both the sisters were trained ballerinas and would perform at parties and weddings. At the age of 16, Allison was kidnapped by a gypsy dancing troupe that took her across the country and soon Allison began to love her new life as a dancing gypsy. Catherine set upon herself the mission of finding out her sister. She started taking lessons in Russian and French ballet and was soon able to find out where Allison in Mississippi.
The Pierces, two sisters escaped and took three days to come back to Alabama. Music remained their first love and Allison took up the guitar for honing up her skills further. The voices of the two sisters became almost identical and soon took to the stage for performing. Smooth talkers soon managed to convince them of assured name and fame and both the sisters sold their souls to the devil.
The Pierces band founder that is both the sisters then realized their mistake and took a strong stance of no longer serving the devil. The devil released them but vowed never to give them back their souls. New York then became the destination for the depressed sisters. There they met an ex-pirate who had turned into a music producer and it was he who made them realise how they wanted their music to sound like. The sisters wanted to sound like a gypsy dream that one has after consuming too much of red wine while listening to a cabaret singer.
Their debut music album, The Pierces (2000) took shape after a friend of theirs at Auburn University sent their tape to a record company at Nashville. The album, however failed to make a name mainly due to no support from any label. Their second album, Light of the Moon was released in August, by Universal. In March 2007, their third album Thirteen Tales of Love was released in the US. The album was well received by music lovers as well as critics and the song boring needs special mention. The album shows a deviation from the usual music of the band that has been essentially a folk rock band. However, it still retains the captivating lyrics and melodies typical of the band.
Over the years, The Pierces sisters have often been compared with popular artists like The Roches, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Shawn Colvin, the Indigo Girls and Sheryl Crow. Wikipedia

KETV Owned Hearst Argyle
Presently, owned by Hearst-Argyle Television, KETV, channel 7 is the ABC affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska. The stations studios are located near 27th and Douglas in downtown Omaha while the transmitter tower is located on a tower farm near North 72nd and Crown Point.
Its origin dates back to 1957 as Omahas third television station. Although it was founded by construction mogul Peter Kiewit, Jr, from 1963-76, it was co-owned with the Omaha World-Herald. In 1976, KETV sold the station to Pulitzer Broadcasting Company who ultimately sold its entire broadcasting division to Hearst-Argyle Television.
Since 2000, KETV has newscasts have been known as News watch 7. In November 2006, KETV toppled WOWT (a Gray Television station) to become numero uno for local news in Omaha, after the two stations fought keenly for supremacy. From the early 80s KETV NewsWatch 7 has been popular for its weekly Crimestoppers segments and has been responsible for the arrest and conviction of more than 1000 criminals.
KETV also runs a webpage called 7 Can Help that is engaged in social service to the community through financial grants, high utility bill relief, and services for area children. In October 1996, KETV started telecasting all its local newscasts from a working newsroom called The Newsplex whose multi-million dollar broadcast facility can boast of state-of-the-art standards.
In February 2006, KETV decided to reformat its investigative unit in an endeavor to include more in-dept stories and re-launched it as the NewsWatch 7 I Team. KETV was the pioneer in having live weather radar at its station as well as having a full time meteorologist in the 70s. In July, 2006, it started its 24-hours local weather channel.
A prominent KETV alumnus includes John Coleman and Charlie Martin (Known as Charlie Levy outside of Omaha) both of whom worked as chief meteorologists during different times.
It was Coleman who later launched The Weather Channel in 1982. Around that same time, Charlie Martin left KETV for TWC to become one of the cable channel's first on camera meteorologists. In July, 2003, KETVs transmitter tower collapsed while adding a digital television antenna. Although none was injured as the incident took place late at night, the station was compelled to broadcast from their shorter auxiliary tower for over a year. A new transmitter was erected in 2004 at the site where the old transmitter had been.
Popular shows on KETV include The Rachael Ray Show, Access Hollywood, The Montel Williams Show, Judge Judy, and Wheel of Fortune among others. KETV's nearest sister stations are CBS affiliate KCCI-TV channel 8 in Des Moines, Iowa, and fellow ABC affiliate KMBC-TV channel 9 in Kansas City, Missouri. I am Legend Movie By Frank Lawrence
The original story of the grand movie I am Legend was written by Richard Matheson and was published in 1954. It was adapted to screen twice in the form of The Last Man on Earth and The Omega Man. Now the novel which is described by some as the best science fiction story ever gets adapted to a film of the same name starring Will Smith and will be released on 14th December. It has been directed by Frank Lawrence.
Expectations set on the movie I am Legend will be high and it will be keenly watched by critics worldwide as both of the earlier adaptations could not be up to the mark. Producer and co-writer Avika Goldsman says that the movie is a hybrid between the original story and the 1971 screen adaptation of the story The Omega Man. The film hit the news recently this November when as late as November 18th it was reported that the ending of the movie is being re-shot.
I am Legend adapts the main theme from the original story. It depicts Will Smith as the lone human survivor on Earth in the year 2012. The rest of humanity has been converted to vampire bats by strange plague that gets spread by a germ borne on dust storms resulting from an apparent nuclear war. Will Smith plays the character of Robert Neville who is a brilliant scientist and is immune to the disease due to the bite of a Panamanian vampire bat years before. Now his immune blood is the only hope for humanity and its survival.
There are chilling moments in I am Legend when Smith rides through an abandoned and empty city of New York alone in a fancy car along with his only companion, a German-shepherd dog. We find him speaking to himself and wandering through the city. The film cuts back and forth between the beginning of the plague in the year 2012 and works nicely to build the tension at the time of apocalypse and in the post apocalyptic period.
The real put down to the movie is the horrible CGI visual effects and graphics that have designed the monsters into non believable ones and that does not at all look real. The next let down is the ending. In Franks adaptation of I am Legend, the end was first wrapped up in an unconvincing manner and then the studio decided to re shoot it with more action packed adventure. Shocktillyoudrop

KMTV Action 3 News
KMTV Channel 3 is better known as the Action 3 news. This is a part of the CBS television station in Omaha, Nebraska and is also the second oldest station in Nebraska. This station began broadcasting on September 1, 1949 as a CBS affiliate. It is a station that is owned by the Journal Broadcast Group. This is basically a channel that broadcasts an NTSC signal on VHF channel 3 as well as on a digital television signal as KMTV-DT on UHF channel 45.
When it started broadcasting KMTV also carried ABC and Dumont programming. It was a television channel that was also supposed to possess call letters KMA-TV. This was basically a fact that reflected on its first owner, May Broadcasting of Shenandoah, Iowa who already had a KMA-AM in Shenandoah. Nonetheless the FCC was reluctant to allow the channel to use those call letters. This was because Shenandoah was not considered part of the Omaha market.
KMTV was sold to Lee Enterprises in December 1986. This was done after over 37 years of ownership when Lee sold all of its stations to Emmis Communications. This was during October 2000. Way back in 1956, however, KMTV had switched its affiliations with WOW-TV. During the same time it became an NBC affiliate and stopped carrying the DuMont programming. However this was the same year when DuMont ceased operations.
While tracing back the history of KMTV we see that it entered into an agreement with WOWT and this basically allowed them to return to their original affiliations as a consequence of which KMTV rejoined CBS after 30 years with NBC. This was on June 29, 1986.The famous reporter Tom Brokaw was from this station from 1962 to 1965. This is a channel that has seen many changes over the years and it basically underwent these changes to keep itself abreast with broadcasting trends as well as to be a part of the ratings race.
KMTV had several newscasts and these were KMTV News; NewsCenter 3; Channel 3 News; KMTV News 3. The recent addition is the KM3 News, which is among the most popular today and is also known as the Action 3 News. This channel dropped its 6pm local news timeslot. This was replaced with syndicated tabloid shows and at the same time the sports were dropped from its 10 PM newscasts. This was basically replaced with the commentary segment that was hosted by KMTV sports director Travis Justice.
KMTV has its studios near 108th and Mockingbird Drive. This is in southwest Omaha and this channel is the only Omaha station to have moved its studios from the downtown area. For KMTV the main transmitter tower is located on near Crown Point Avenue which is a place in north central Omaha. Wikipedia

The Shop Around The Corner Romantic Comedy Film
The Shop Around the Corner is an American romantic comedy film of 1940 which was directed and produced by Ernst Lubistch. The film was probably based on a Hungarian play by Miklos Laszlo, titled Parfumerie. The film was considered culturally significant by the United States Library Congress and was chosen to be preserved at the National Film Registry.
The plot of the film, The Shop Around the Corner revolves around the relationship between Alfred, the Assistant Manger of an upscale bookshop in Hungary and the newest employee Klara. While the two bicker and rail at each other as colleagues, little do they know that they in fact share a secret romantic relationship as two pen-friends unknown to each other. They fall in love through letters while remaining peevish and anti-pathic to each other as co-workers.
A major subplot of the film, The Shop Around the Corner lay in the apparent infidelity of the store owners wife. This leads to various spill over effects on the numerous working relationships in the shop. the subplot brings out the complications in the intricately connected lives of the employees at the upscale shop in far-off, inter-war Budapest.
The main cast of The Shop Around the Corner included James Stewart as Alfred and Margaret Sullivan in the role of Klara. Others actors included Frank Morgan as Hugo Matuschek, Joseph Skildkraut as Ferencz Vadas and Sara Hayden as Flora Kaczek. The film was well received at the box office after its release in 1940 and was even appreciated by the critics. Today it is considered as one of the classics in the history of American cinema.
The perfectly plotted script of The Shop Around the Corner by Samson Raphaelson is impeccably realized by director Ernst Lubistch who also produced the film. The Lubistch touch is there in the combination of wry observation, delicate sentiment and gently controlled romanticism. Though all the complications in the plot of the film are resolved finally, a teasing sense of mystery is left in the end along with the fear of how easily good people can miss their chances of happiness in this world.
The Shop Around the Corner went on to inspire several remakes both in films and theatre. The 1949 musical love story In the Good Old Summertime starred Judy Garland and Van Johnson the lead roles. Again in 1998, came Youve Got Mail, starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks as the warring book store owners who are secretly in love as pen pals over the Internet. the 1940 film inspired many stage productions as well. in 1963 the musical She Loves Me opened at Broadway and in 1964 at West End. The productions were later revived in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Wikipedia

Wikipedia

Earth Angel Pop Music Group
Earth Angel is highly noted for its American pop music that was originally released in the year 1954 by the Penguins. This pop music was essentially based on the Dootone label (Dootone 348) as the B-side to Hey Señorita. In the year 1954 both these songs were originally recorded as demo recordings. The recordings were done at the Ted Brinson's garage studio located in South Los Angeles with producer Dootsie Williams.
It is indeed an interesting thing to know that in early 1955 Earth Angel quickly surpassed the A-side in terms of its popularity and reached #1 on the Billboard R&B chart for almost three weeks. It was for sure that the love songs proved to be the only Top 40 hits from the group. It also holds the remarkable position of #8 on the pop chart.
Out of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, the Earth Angel constitutes the 151st rank on the Rolling Stone's list. It was in the year 2004 that one of 50 recordings that was chosen by the Library of Congress has been added to the National Recording Registry. It was one of the first records as rock and roll to hit the national pop charts. Moreover, very few copies of the UK edition of Earth Angel were sold and hence it thoroughly enjoyed a legendary status among all the record collectors. These copies were extremely rare and are filled with valuable records. But it should not be neglected that on the issue of identification of the original singer of those songs, there arose some controversial debates.
The songs of the Earth Angel were originally credited to The Penguins' baritone singer Curtis Williams. In a legal dispute that occurred in 1956 the Turks were added as co-writers with these singers Jesse Belvin and Gaynel Hodge who were the members of another Los Angeles vocal group at that time. According to some reliable sources Earth Angel was actually started by Belvin. Gradually it then evolved through various titled songs recorded by Hodge and Williams. They were highly influenced by Dream Girl that contained many of the similar vocal inflections used in Earth Angel.
The songs in Earth Angel became a major hit for The Crew-Cuts and reached the Billboard charts on January 29, 1955. Moreover, it constituted the most popular demands and peaked at #3 on the Disk Jockey chart, #8 on the Best Seller and the #8 on the Juke Box chart. If we study some cultural references we can note that it was Marvin Berry and the Star lighters who played the song during the high-school dance named Enchantment Under the Sea The songs were also played during the famous musical drama Jersey Boys. In a world made of steel, made of stone. Well I hear the music, close my eyes, feel the rhythm. Wrap around, take a hold of my heart. CHORUS: What a feeling, bein's believin'. I can't have it all, now I'm dancin' for my life. Take your passion, and make it happen. Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life
(Flashdance Lyrics) (Solo) Now I hear the music, close my eyes, I am rhythm. In a flash it takes hold of my heart. CHORUS REPEAT (with ... 'now I'm dancing through my life') What a feeling. What a feeling (I am music now), bein's believin' (I am rhythm now). Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life. What a feeling (I can really have it all). What a feeling (Pictures come alive when I call). I can have it all (I can really have it all). Have it all (Pictures come alive when I call). The Polar Express Animated Movie Based On Chris Van Allsburg Novel
The Polar Express is an animated film released in 2004 based on the childrens book of same name by Chris Van Allsburg. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and has live action using performance capture technology where the live actors movements are captured and interpolated on the animation characters to give a realistic effect.
The Polar Express stars Tom Hanks in five distinctive roles including that of Santa Claus. The other actors were Leslie Harter Zemeckis, Eddie Deezen, Nona Gaye and Jimmy Bennett. The music was by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard who rendered music for the songs. The cinematography was by Don Burgess and the film was nominated for three Oscars for original song, sound editing and sound mixing.
The main protagonist of The Polar Express is a young boy known as Hero Boy. He was awake when he was supposed to be asleep on the Christmas Eve. The eight-year-old boy was waiting to hear Santa Claus downstairs. He was confused with the news circulating around him that Santa Claus was a myth and scientifically it was not possible for Santa to deliver the gifts. He was wondering whether his faith in Santa was dwindling, more so after the news of fake Santas.
At this time a loud noise and bright light enters his room. He goes outside to find a huge train standing there and the conductor tells him that it is The Polar Express and its destination was the North Pole. The conductor tells him that Santa knows about his diminishing faith and this was the most crucial year in his life because he might believe in Santa for the final year if he missed the train. Hesitantly, the boy boards the train.
On the train he meets two more children called Hero Girl and Know-it-all. When the conductor comes to punch his ticket he is amazed to find a golden ticket in his left pocket and the train moves on. Then The Polar Express stops at the poor section of the town and there another hesitant boy, the Lonely Boy boards the train with the help of Hero Boy when he almost loses his chance to board the train.
The Polar Express then moves on through many adventures involving caribous, mechanical failures, a steep downhill dive, and broken lake surfaces. They arrive at the Arctic Circle and see the Aurora Borealis and reach North Pole with only five minutes to spare but accidentally get lost in the city. After some more misadventures the children end up in the huge bag of presents. When the time for Santa to appear nears and the reindeers are being decorated Hero Boy fails to hear the bells. He realises that only believing in Santa and Christmas can make him hear the bell ring. He says, I believe and hears the silver bell that fell from the reindeer ring. Santa lets him choose the first present and he chooses the bell. Wikipedia

Running With Scissors Golden Globe Award Nominee
Golden Globe Award nominated film, Running with Scissors was released in the year 2006. The film was directed by Ryan Murphy. The movie is based on a similarly titled book, which is semi-autobiography of the author, Augusten Burroughs. The film won the Satellite Award for Best Actor and was nominated at the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an actress. The film stars Joseph Cross, Annette Bening, Brian Cox, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more.
Running with Scissors is about a teenage boy, Augusten Burroughs (Joseph Cross). The child has an alcoholic father and an unstable mother, who thinks herself as a very talented poet on the verge of fame. She gives away her child to her unorthodox psychiatrist, Dr. Finch. He is an eccentric man with eccentric family, which includes his tightly wounded daughter (Gwyneth Paltrow).
The film Running with Scissors is based, when the child Augusten is 12 years of age. He finds himself living in a Victorian Squalor with the Doctors bizarre family. The atmosphere in the house is totally crazy without any rules. The Christmas tree is kept up all the year round. The housemates consume as though they are candy and use electro-shock therapy machine for treatment and entertainment.
In the film, Running with Scissors, Augusten finds a kind spirit in Finchs youngest daughter Natalie and finds motherly support from Finchs long suffering wife. Augusten regularly records the events of his life in his journals as a means of coping with his unusual childhood. He finds ways of avoiding school and starts taking big decisions at a tender age of 15.
Running with Scissors takes an unusual turn, when Augustens mothers mental illness worsens. He befriends Finchs 33 year old adopted son, Neil Bookman. He introduces Augusten into the world of love and they start an open and consensual sexual relationship. The film ends with Bookman hovering over a sleeping Finch, with a pair of scissors in his hands.
The film Running with Scissors diverges from the book on which it is based on several important points. In the book the prime character progresses through adolescence but the films character ages only 12 to 15. The film also shies away from the numerous sexual aspects on the book.
The film Running with Scissors is based on personal memoirs of Augusten Burroughs. It is wickedly funny, brave and moving tale of surviving a most unusual childhood. The film was partly produced by Brad Pitt, who was once engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow. This film also reunited her with Joseph Fiennes, who was her co-star in the Oscar winning film Shakespeare in Love. A Boy Named Charlie Brown Animated Film
A Boy named Charlie Brown is an animated film directed by Bill Melendez and produced by Cinema Center Films and Lee Mendelsen Films for National General Pictures. It was the first film based on the Peanuts comic strip and Peter Robbins who voiced all the Peanuts television specials roles, used his voice for the character Charlie Brown, for the last time. It revolves around Charlie Brown and other Peanuts characters competing in a spelling bee.
A Boy Named Charlie Brown is the story of Charlie Brown and other Peanuts characters, where the hero enters a class spelling bee. None of his friends believe that he can actually win it barring his faithful friend Linus. He springs a huge surprise for all of them by winning it as well as the school spelling bee, along with qualifying for the nationals in New York City. Linus had given his blanket to Charlie as a good luck charm but Charlie forgot about it and thought he left it at the library.
Charlie Brown in the film A Boy named Charlie Brown is not a successful boy who loses in baseball, cant fly a kite and everybody taunts him. So, he participated in the spelling contest and finally goes to New York City to take part in the televised national spelling bee. But, at the last moment he misspells the word Beagle and is eliminated. So he becomes very upset and returns home. However, Linus his ever-faithful friend supports him and tells him that it is not the end of the world and encourages him.
The plot of the movie A Boy named Charlie Brown also included a number of minor vignettes and subplots, in addition to the main story about the hero and the spelling bee. Some of these included Lucys continued attempts to get Schroeders attention, Charlies Baseball team and Snoopys ice skating. The Kite-Eating Tree, Charlies old nemesis, also features in the movie. A few appearances of Peppermint Patty are also included in the film.
Several original songs some of which included vocals for the first time, like Failure Face, I before E except after C and Champion Charlie Brown, were also included in A Boy named Charlie Brown. The title song was written and sang by Rod McKuen. However, the instrumental tracks that were used in other Peanuts specials also featured throughout the film. Untempo Jazz Tunes were basically included in the music.
A Boy named Charlie Brown was partly based on a series of Peanut comic strips which were published in 1966, in newspapers and had a different ending. He misspelt the word maze in his class spelling bee itself and was eliminated there only. On March 28, 2006 the film made its Region 1 DVD debut. It has some additional footage of about 5 minutes that was not shown in the 1969 movie. It was also nominated for an Oscar Award. Wikipedia

Wikipedia

Godfather III Last Sequel To Classic Mafia Saga
Produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Godfather III was released on December 25, 1990. It is the third and final film in the Godfather trilogy written by Mario Puzo, Vincent Patrick, and Francis Ford Coppola.
The movie Godfather III was made in English as well as in Italian with a budget of $54 million. It is the story of Michael Corleone, a Mafia godfather who tries to legitimize his criminal empire. The storyline weaves into its plot a fictionalized account of real-life events – the mysterious 1978 death of Pope John Paul I and the Papal banking scandal of 1981-1982.
The story of Godfather III begins in 1979, with a flashback of the criminal history of the Corleone family. Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), now much older, feels guilty for indulging in his ruthless ambition many years ago. His previous criminal activities have made him a very rich man but the thoughts of his children, their future, happiness and his legacy are the only things on his mind. His children are with his estranged wife.
He has returned to New York City and has decided to use his enormous wealth and power to restore his dignity and reputation in the eyes of the public. Michael is able to rebuild the Corleone family as a legitimate enterprise using the money from his gangster years. In an attempt to break from the past, he creates a charity, the Vito Corleone Foundation, in memory of his father. Godfather III takes the audience through the journey of Michaels effort in establishing himself as a respectable citizen.
Furthermore, in the movie Godfather III, we find that in an attempt to earn respectability and wealth for the Corleone family through legitimate enterprise, Michael seeks to buy the Vaticans shares in Immobiliare, an international real estate holding company, of which the Vatican controls 25%. He negotiates the transfer of $600,000,000 to the Vatican Bank with Archbishop Gilday, who has plunged the Holy See into heavy debt through his poor management and corrupt dealings. However, due to the failing health of Pope Paul VI, approval of the deal is far more complicated than he had anticipated.
Many are interested in the Immobiliare deal. Michael meets Cardinal Lamberto and confesses his sins. When Cardinal Lamberto is elected Pope John Paul I, Michael is exhilarated and is sure to clinch the deal. This would put an end to the plot against the approval of the deal. Vincent, illegitimate son of Michaels dead brother Sonny, tells Michael that Lucchesi is behind the plot against the deal and a master assassin, Mosca da Montelepre, has been hired by Altobello, New York mafia chief, to kill Michael. In spite of Michaels caution, Vincent insists on revenge. Michael makes Vincent the head of the Corleone family and Godfather III is born.
Vincents revenge takes shape and the final scene of Godfather III is filled with brutal murders of the enemies of the Corleone family. The scenes are interspersed with that of Anthonys (Michaels son) performance at the opera house, Teatro Massimo. Mosca enters the opera house and shoots at Michael who is hit in the shoulder while Mary, Michaels daughter, is hit in the chest. Michael is plunged in grief as Mary succumbs. The film ends showing an aged and broken Michael seated in the front yard of his Sicilian villa, where he slumps out of his chair and dies, totally alone.
Although nominated for Academy Awards, Godfather III is the only picture in the Godfather trilogy, which failed to win the Academy Award for the Best Picture.Wikipedia

I Think I Love You Lyrics Partridge Family Song
Dear friends here are the I Think I Love You lyrics for you. The first stanza goes as follows…. I'm sleeping…And right in the middle of a good dream…like all at once I wake up…From something that keeps knocking at my brain…Before I go insane…I hold my pillow to my head…And spring up in my bed…Screaming out the words I dread: I think I love you! (I think I love you).
The next stanza of the I Think I Love You lyrics goes as follows… This morning, I woke up with this feeling…I didn't know how to deal with…. And so I just decided to myself…I'd hide it to myself…And never talk about it…And didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room…I think I love you! (I think I love you).
The third stanza of I Think I Love you lyrics have the following words… I think I love you…So what am I so afraid of….I'm afraid that I'm not sure of…A love there is no cure for…I think I love you…Isn't that what life is made of…Though it worries me to say…I've never felt this way.
The fourth and last stanza of the I Think I Love you lyrics are written this way…
Believe me…You really don't have to worry…I only want to make you happy…And if you say,…hey, go away, I will…But I think better still…I ought to stay around and love you…Do you think I have a case?…Let me ask you to your face: Do you think you love me?…I think I love you!

Green Acres Theme Song Of Substance
The Green Acres theme song belongs to the American Television series the Green Acres produced by FilmWays, Inc. The show was originally broadcast on CBS in between the 15th of September of 1965 to the 27th of April of 1971.
The Green Acres series, in which the Green Acres theme song is shown is basically about the dream of a well achieved and very learned lawyer, Oliver Wendell Douglas(played by Eddie Albert), to live in the countryside and be a farmer. His wife played by Eva Gabor as Lisa Douglas, is very glamorous and likes the sophisticated city life. She is reluctantly forced to shift to the countryside with her husband and lead a rural life in a dilapidated farm.
The lyrics of the Green Acres theme song goes as follows…Green acres is the place for me…Farm livin' is the life for me…Land spreadin' out so far and wide…Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside…New York is where I'd rather stay. I get allergic smelling hay…I just adore a penthouse view…Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue....The chores…...The stores…....Fresh air…Times Square…You are my wife…Good bye, city life. ..Green Acres we are there.
In the Green Acres theme song, the husband sings about how wonderful a farm life can be. He sings that the Green Acres farm is the right place for him and farm living should be his way of life. He loves the vast and open countryside and says that he prefers the countryside to Manhattan.
To that, in the Green Acres theme song, his wife sings that she would love staying back at New York rather than the countryside. She finds the smell of hay very allergic and she really admires a pent-house view. She sings that she loves her husband very much but she is finding a countryside life a big sacrifice, for her love. She craves for Park Avenue and sings that she misses the chores that she used to do and the stores that she used to frequent, the fresh air, and Times Square very much.
In the Green Acres theme song, the husband does not heed his wifes cravings and tells her that as she is his wife she should listen to him against her wish and follow his wishes. Then again he goes back into his adulation of the glory of the Green Acres.
The Green acres theme song implicates patriotism. An erudite and virtuous person tries to make sense of the materialistic madness that has caught over the urban population. He finds a close-to-nature life in the rural areas more peaceful and meaningful than the chaotic urban life. His wife on the other hand is just like any person loving the comforts of a materialistic city life. Well friends, dont you see a bit of both of them in us? And isnt their story a part of the story of every household??? Wikipedia
