He somewhat suffers from deprived reflexes, that does not allow him to freely mix with others. When Todd Anderson, first goes to the school, his older brother was already very popular over there and was very well known as a Valedictorian. At his school, Todd Anderson had to stay at the school boarding, where he got to share his room with Neil. Now while Todd was very reserved and not very free to intermingle with the others, Neil was an exceptionally bright student and quite known among his friends and the staff at school. But he has to remain under the strict vigilant eye of his father, who likes to rest his weight upon him. The twosome team up along with their friends encounters Professor Keating, who happens to be their new English Teacher. It is Professor Keating, who tells Todd, Neil and the others about the Dead Poets Society. Professor Keating now urges the whole group to go against the set norms, and do something out of the way. The movie Dead Poets Society revolves around how the friends work in their own manner, in order to accomplish something extraordinary and as a whole, their notion about life changes, and they themselves are changed as humans.
