Heat (movie) by director Michael Mann, who also wrote the screenplay of the movie, was released in the United states of America on December 15th 1995. Heat is an action movie based on the genre of crime thriller, with some traces of Drama in it. Heat was given six nominations, also the award nominations from Chicago Film Critics Organization and several other film award authorities.

The total runtime of the movie includes a total of 171 minutes in USA, while the film runs for approximately 188 minutes in the original pre-aired version of the movie in NBC.The film comes in two language versions, such as English and Spanish. Filmed in color, Heat (1995) had the sound effects of the Dolby digital stereo system, and distributed worldwide by the distributors, Warner Brothers Pictures. The story of the movie Heat that was made in 1995 revolves around Neil Mc Cauley, played by Robert De Niro in the movie, who is a thief by his profession. However, he is an expert in his job, and he believes in the philosophy that none should be so inclined in life towards anything, so that he cannot live behind his object of interest, when he has to flee, if he feels “Heat” somewhere around the corner. Neil McCauley is armed with his crime crew begins the process of burgling over targets that involves lump some amounts. But by the turn of events Neil McCauley and his crime crew get hunted by Lt. Vincent Hanna along with his band of cops. Lt. Hanna and his band of followers come from the team of Homicide Police division. The crime team of Neil McCauley starts decided to work on another major theft score, before they have stop doing any more burglary. While on the other hand Lt. Vincent Hanna is on trail after Neil McCauley and his crime crew. Heat narrates in a much thrilling manner, of how the group of thieves carries on their functions, in much innovative manner. At a much crucial moment of his life, Neil McCauley, the expert burglar, try to deviate from the thumb rule of theft that was devised to him long before by his instructor. Neil now realizes that there is a special feeling called love in this material world. When Neil McCauley and Lt. Vincent Hanna encounter each other, it appears before the viewers that both of them are the owners of a sharp brain, yet they have chosen to use it on two very contrasting aspects, the aspects of good and evil, very much in the eyes of law.
